Trauma Readiness 2 (TR2)
TR1 is a prerequisite.
Service Description
We start with a refresher of TAB-C, and how to work around a patient. Next, we get to practice splinting upper and lower extremities using different kinds of SAM splints and improvised splints. Practice will include splinting other students and our adult and pediatric trauma manikins. You will also learn how to stabilize a foreign object that has punctured the body, like an arrow or a tree branch. Class is 5 hours long, and the final evolution will be slightly more difficult incorporating different types of challenges. Our goal is to build upon your TR1 knowledge and help your skills to become more well-rounded in more dynamic emergencies. TR1 is a prerequisite for this Class.
